How To Style A Vintage Dress

Follow Me on Pinterest

I love a vintage piece but I feel it looks even better if you pair it with some more modern up to date elements. It makes it far more wearable and a bit more of an individual style statement especially with this AMAZING bejewelled necklace from Jewel Shack.

Tin Can Wind Chime

Follow Me on Pinterest

This home made tin can wind chime went down a storm, and helped to get Rex out of the paddling pool and sun for a while. It looks really fun and pretty in the garden. Come to think of it, it would make a lovely home made gift too.
Super easy to make all you need is pictured below and follow the pics. Rex did it all mostly by himself including the eating of what was originally in the cans. The only bit I helped with was the making of holes. Oh and I painted a few too. x

Sporty How To Mama Style

Follow Me on Pinterest

I was feeling a little too old for this trend but I don't like to ever say that or to admit defeat.
The key to this trend I think is to add just one element of sporty and the rest ladylike. So Ive styled a sports vest with a full denim skirt and smart shoes, then a sporty T with a pencil skirt.

DENIM SKIRT : TU @ SAINSBURY'S.

SPORTY T : H&M,

Dungarees How To Mama Style

Follow Me on Pinterest

I just love a dungarees. Not just for myself but on my kids too. Maybe they just make me feel like a big kid but I don't always want to look like one in them. So to make them a bit more grown up for the adults Ive teamed them with a trench and classic men's striped shirt and gold brogues. I think styling dungarees with classic separates makes the whole more look a bit more grown up and wearable.
What do you think dungarees a do or a don't?

Kids Dinosaur Vivarium

Follow Me on Pinterest

Dinosaurs are one of Rex's favourite things. So we decided to give them and make them a little home.
I was just going to use plants but then I thought, what about if we used herbs we could then eat them and of course so could the dinosaurs too.
So the hybrid dinosaur/herb pot was born. We had lots of fun making it Dottie was trying to join in too and by the end of it I had two very dirty messy kids.
We just used an old fish bowl, compost and potted herbs and of course some very lucky miniature dinosaurs, herbivores of course x.
