I found this project I did ages ago but never got round to sharing with you. Rex looks so young in the pics, goodness he grows so fast. x With some of the lovely sun we've been having I must plan a large scale garden project again soon. Hope the weather holds out for you all to give this a go.
All that packaging we turf out day in day out makes me feel so bad for our planet and the future of it for Rex. I wont go all eco warrior on you, there is such a fun element to re-using and recycling by putting it to good use. I’m an avid collector of bottles, lids, cardboard etc.; it must be from my childhood love of Blue Peter DIY.
All you need for you to make your very own fun and educational “Shape Peek a Boo” house. are some old cardboard boxes, string, a pencil, a bradel (or something pointy to make holes with), a ruler, a scalpel and some double-sided sticky tape.
Finally after all that tadah! Your own little “Shape peek a boo house” Rex couldn’t wait to get inside.
Now for the fun bit, time to let Rex loose with the paint and the pens and decorate the “Shape peek a boo house”. Secretly I was
looking forward to this bit too I love painting with Rex. Especially outside as you can really go for it as you have no mess to worry about and can go crazy !

I have been meaning to do this since Rex was born, so nearly 3 years later I get round to doing it !
This was my dolls house from when I was a little girl. With another one on the way I wanted Rex to have a chance to play with it before he has to share it. The mission was to "man it up" a bit for him and it needed bringing up to date. It was wallpapered in old 70's wallpaper, from a sample book my mum had managed to get hold of from Fads (the 70's/80's DIY store) when I was little. Trying to strip a dolls house of wood chip is harder than a normal sized house. Even more so being pregnant and having to roll around on the floor to get in there with a wall paper striper.I should of got Phil to film it so you could have all had a good laugh at me. But I got in there and then painted the outside with black chalkboard paint and the inside with white gloss. The idea being its an interactive chalkboard/dolls house that Rex can draw all over and wipe off and start again.
Now all Rex needs to do is move in the dolls and furniture. I will take some pics.x

Hello and sorry for the lack of posts recently. I hold my hands up and say I am struggling with this pregnancy lark and looking after a toddler. My goodness why I ever moaned about being tired or exhausted as I used to say with my first pregnancy. All I had to do is look after just myself and the bump and sit and work at my desk, have a few meetings and eat all day and all night. Now I just don't stop all day. No taking it easy with my feet up just business as usual all the same lifting and carrying and the cherry on the cake " potty training " ! Picking up poo while nearly 6 months pregnant is no mean feet. If occupational health took a visit and accessed what I did at home I would be signed off work. x Bring on the sun so I can wear flip flops, anything lace up now is a huffing, puffing joke, and now I have two pairs of feet to sort out.
As you have guessed I am not a good pregnant woman, still trying to look semi alright everyday but the lure of the tracksuit is beckoning x I'm a glutton for punishment though I wouldn't have it any other way, its all worth it in the end. Love my little boy so much and very excited about meeting another little monkey to challenge me every min of every day ?! I must be mad ! xxx
